(GM) adsdsf, Do You Make This Fatal Mistake?

adsdsf,

Years ago, Henry Ford was challenged by a reporter.

The story basically went like this...

A reporter went into Ford's office. And he came in with
a challenge,

"Well, since you're SOOO successful, show me
how intelligent you are."

He went on to ask a lot of tough questions and Henry
Ford had no idea how to answer them. So the reporter
told him:

"Listen, I'm gonna write about you. I'm gonna
write about how uneducated you really are. I'll
show people why you don't deserve the kind
of success you have."

Though offended by the reporter's remarks, Ford calmly
called all his managers to come into his office. Then
he suggested the reporter to ask him questions again.

This time, everything changed.

When the reporter asked any of his questions, Ford's
managers had answers to all of them.

And after a few attempts to bring the wealthy man down,
the reporter gave up saying, "That's NOT fair. You're
cheating. I'm asking you, not your managers."

But Henry Ford answered,

"Well, I don't need to have all the answers. I
don't need to. I just need to know who to call."

You see, you have to do it by yourself, but you can't do
it alone.

Management is a team sport. You can't do it
alone.

I'll rephrase that again:

I don't care how smart you are.
I don't care how talented you are.
You CANNOT do it alone.

I am where today because of my TEAM, because of my
MENTORS, because of my FRIENDS, because of all my
contacts and networks!

NETWORK saves LEGWORK.

Just because you are the Manager doesn't mean
you don't need to have a team.

It's crucial to have a team. This includes your
employees, an IT expert, an HR expert, a Marketing
expert, a Finance expert and your mentors.

To be a First-Class Manager, you must have a team
who can help you with many things you couldn't!

Now the question is:

"Are you actively going out there and meeting people,
developing important relationships in your life?"

Business success a lot of times is based on
relationships.

Your success a lot of times is based on
relationships.

See when you have a problem, don't try and
solve it on your own.

Just PICK UP THE PHONE and get the
best answers you could get.

You can save so much time with this approach.

You can avoid many costly mistakes with this approach.

Listen, when I have a problem, when I need something, I
don't try to do it solely on my own!

Most of the times I'll pick up the phone, and call who
I think would have the best answers.

Now go and find your team.

To your success,

Andrew
