I've found that it's important to always remember your
roots. Your beginnings. Where you came from. Keeps you
grounded and sharp so complacency and laziness doesn't
set in.

Once in a while I drive by a particular petrol garage.

There are a lot of memories for me there...

I was born and raised in a poor area of London, one of five
children all living in a small 3-bedroomed council house.
We couldn't afford any luxuries or have any holidays.

Working in that petrol garage was my first job earning less
than a $1 an hour. But I loved the job. Dealing with
customers and providing a service. It was great.

I've come a long way since those days.

Now I have my own management business, which
offers a variety of services ranging from free articles,
e-books, mentoring, coaching and customer support,
all the way to supporting graduates to find work.

I write Management Books and several of the
companies I have worked for, have asked me
to write their Management Development Literature.

I also write Management and Leadership Articles for
my own website and several others, as well as being
a Freelance Expert, providing advice and feedback on

I have conducted Management Seminars in the UK,
Europe and The Far East and have a few selected
personal clients who I mentor on how to simply
