Melissa contacted me today and asked for
my advice on her presentation. She was
creating a presentation that she was
preparing for the recruitment of Graduates.
Melissa wanted to ensure the Graduates
gained a positive first-impression of the
company they may join.
She had included a slide within the
presentation on the:
History of the company
Company benefits
Vision of the company
Where the company was heading i.e. the plans
I suggested she began her presentation with
a question. Since she wanted to gain the
graduates attention and ensure they had
a great first impression.
So we went with, "Do you like walking, shopping,
sports or just relaxing"?
The company is very close to open fields where
many individuals walk, jog, sit and relax. We have
some great free sports facilities and are close to
the town's shops.
She liked the headline and used it in her
presentation. It went down with the
graduates really well.
The headline gained their attention and
informed them of the great location the
company is in.
I love sharing my advice, don't you?
Get to be known as the helpful person.
Get to be known as the person who is
happy to offer advice when needed.
It will raise your network and your profile
and that will be good for your promotion
chances.
